Can you blend raw beets
Thanks so much for your kind words and lovely review! We made this with a raw beet, frozen mixed berries, a handful of frozen spinach, and cranberry-grape juice. Wonderful, thanks! It was great. Not sure about the health benefits, could you please assist me with that? Hi Michele, are you referring to the nutrition info? You can calculate here. Hope that helps! I was looking for ways to use my leftover beetroot and this smoothie recipe was perfect. I made a few tweaks so I could use what I had on hand and it was still tasty! I replaced the apple juice with cranberry juice and use mixed frozen berries as opposed to frozen strawberries. Love the substitutions too! Thanks so much for sharing! This was amazing. It taste so good and I like the easiness. My niece hated beets because of how they looked.
I made this smoothie and told her it was a strawberry smoothie…. Great recipe!!! Thanks so much for sharing, Tee. This is fabulous and so easy to whip up in my Thermomix, where I can grate the beets then add the rest of the ingredients. Very delicious with just the slightest hint of beet taste, mostly strawberry and banana. And I can totally see this as a frozen treat.
Thank you! Thanks so much for the lovely review, Sherry. We are so glad you enjoy it! Put the mint right in the blender and it came out really refreshing. Going to have it again tomorrow! You would need to reduce the amount of total liquid though otherwise it will be runny.
Was delicious and my boyfriend said is his favorite smoothie so far! Thank you :. Might be a little different flavor profile. Let us know how it goes! Loved this as a morning smoothie.
I added a cup of spinach to add some greens to it. Husband loves it as well. Recipe looks amazing! I see banana as a base in a lot of recipes including this one so I thought I would ask.
Thanks for sharing, Kate! As a favor, next time would you mind leaving a rating with your review? That hit the spot after a walk in the sunshine. I only had frozen beets and frozen mixed berries but it was a lovely combo. I had to use twice as much apple juice to get it to blend due to frozen beets maybe??
Topped it with the shredded coconut just for fun. Thanks for the recipe! Thank you so much for this idea!! Filled 2 mason jars perfectly! The oat milk def added a distinct flavour and sweetness, which was great. Dairy-free diet Popular diets Healthy meal subscriptions Best vegan protein powders. Home Recipes Beetroot smoothie. I have only added fresh fruit up until now. I am a big beetroot fan and love green smoothies — I definitely need to give this a try!
Such a gorgeous colour too. These looks so delicious! That colour! Just wow. Thanks for sharing :. I know beetroot is good for you but I somehow am not into beetroots. May be I must try it in the smoothie. I love the color. So prety! I need to get back in the habit of drinking smoothies more often — great tip about the oats too! Will pin for later : x. Some can certainly surprise. That berry and beetroot smoothie looks so healthy and packed full of goodness. I remember trying to grate beetroot once.
